Advisory Committee

Vanessa Carrillo has children in elementary school, and recently graduated from Family Leadership Training Institute.

Douglas Jimenez is in the private business sector, and is involved in community projects in the Avon area.  He has children in preschool and kindergarten.

Sonia Mejia has five children, the youngest of which is in high school. Sonia is also a recent graduate of Family Leadership Training Institute, and she is in the process of creating a nonprofit by the name of Hearts Reign.

Bibiana Rivero has three daughters ranging from elementary school to high school.  Bibiana is a Family Leadership Training Institute graduate, and volunteer with Parent Mentors.

Monica Villalobos is an interpreter with Eagle County School District. She lives with her husband in Vail, and graduated with the first cohort of Family Leadership Training Institute in Eagle County.

Julieta Cavallo has two children, one in elementary school and one in middle school. Julieta is a Family Leadership Training Institute graduate, Neighborhood Navigator, and teacher at Edwards Elementary School.

Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez has two children, one in preschool and one in middle school.  Maria serves on the Head Start Parent Committee, and has for several years.  

Walter Guilles is the Community Integration Coordinator for Youth Power 365. Walter has provided the support of Vistas to Family Connect to help with community events, and has attended every Family Connect meeting to date.
