Kaitlyn Merriman (2020-present) is a Family Support Specialist for Healthy Families Vail Valley, Early Childhood Partners’ home visitation program. Kaitlyn earned a certificate as an Early Childhood Educator from Colorado Mountain College in 2017, and a certificate as a Nature and Place-Based Early Childhood Educator in 2018. She was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, and studied Communications at the University of Colorado Boulder. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2011, Kaitlyn worked with the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks as an Education and Outreach specialist. During that time, she also interned with Rocky Mountain National Park and Thorne Nature Experience as an environmental educator. In 2015, Kaitlyn moved to Vail to work as a ski instructor, and began working with Walking Mountains Science Center as the Community Programs Manager. Kaitlyn is thrilled to continue to work in the Vail Valley with young children and families through Early Childhood Partners.
